SEO- a Real Challenge for Most Small Businesses

SEO is search engine optimization- the art and science of getting found on the web.

In conversation with two new clients this week, both of whom are looking for lead generation.

First one says, SEO- I’ve heard of that, and we had a web guy who helped us make our site with the hooks needed, so heres a login, and tell us what needs to be done.

Second one says- SEO- I paid a guy to do that once, and it “didnt’ work”, so I don’t want to hear about any recommendations for SEO.

Guess which client is compelling to work with?

Both are looking for lead generation, and in today’s market that is no longer  a “rolladex” project.  Clients want to find you when they are ready to buy.  They don’t want to be cold called, stalked, spammed or anything else.  They want to control the inquiry, interaction and timing.  So they need to be able to find you.

Investment in SEO= is a foundational element that no client, BtoB or BtoC can do without.
